Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2 is currently wreaking havoc at the box office. The film has so far amassed over Rs 1600 globally. While it’s a joyous moment, Allu Arjun has found himself in legal trouble after a women died due to stampede incident during Pushpa 2 screening. The actor was even arrested in the case, and now he was virtually appeared before court.
Allu Arjun virtually appears before court in stampede case
Actor Allu Arjun is set to appear virtually before the Nampally Court later on Friday in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case. The actor has also filed a petition for regular bail and the hearing for same is likely to happen on December 30, 2024.
For those unversed, the actor was arrested in connection with the Sandhya theatre stampede case, and the Nampally court had granted him 14 days of judicial custody on December 13. On 4th December at the Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre, a stampede led to the tragic death of a woman and left her eight-year-old son in critical condition. Police claimed that despite denying permission for the event, Allu Arjun attended it, resulting in his arrest. He was granted interim bail for 4 weeks on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. Adding to the controversy was the Sunday’s incident where a group of opposition party vandalised actor’s house. 6 of them were even arrested. Apart from this, a Congress leader also filed complaint against actor for a disrespectful scene in movie.
On the work front, Allu Arjun will next work with Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo director Trivikram Srinivas. He will also collaborate with Animal helmer Sandeep Reddy Vanga. As announced, he will also start shooting for Pushpa 3. Apart from Allu Arjun, Pushpa 2 also starred Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil.
